About us
The people building ekoDB
ekoDB started from a simple frustration: shipping a modern application means running a document store, a cache, a search engine, a vector database, and an auth layer, then wiring them together and keeping them in sync. We set out to collapse that stack into one fast, AI-native database with an agent runtime built in.
What we believe
The principles behind the product
Consolidation over sprawl
Every extra system in a stack is one more thing to operate, secure, and keep in sync. We would rather make one database do more than ask you to run five.
Performance is a feature
ekoDB is built in Rust for speed across reads, writes, and search, because latency you cannot see is the kind that earns trust.
AI belongs next to data
Agents are most useful when they can act directly on the data they reason about, which is why the agent runtime lives inside the database rather than alongside it.
Where we are
Building for the long term
Security posture
AES-256-GCM encryption at rest, TLS in transit, an immutable audit log, and collection- and field-level permissions. Built to SOC 2 controls, with our SOC 2 Type 1 audit underway.
Where the product is
ekoDB is in active beta with teams building on it today. We ship continuously and work closely with early and enterprise design partners on the path to production.
